Until just a short time ago, I didn’t even know what the term “brick” meant when used other than in a masonry context. But today I bricked! It was just a tiny brick, mind you, but a brick nonetheless. I made a 45-min workout out of it–20 min on the bike, 20 on the treadmill, and a 5-min cooldown and stretch. I didn’t cover a lot of miles on the bike (just 5.5). This was my first time on that stationary, so it started with a lot of awkwardness–figuring out the settings, adjusting the seat, etc, and then only did 2 miles in the 20 minutes on the treadmill. Well, actually 20 minutes and some seconds. I had to back off the 6.0 mph setting for a little bit at first. The ol’ legs were tight and didn’t want to move! They were loosened back up within a couple tenths of a mile though. I gotta admit, that was pretty fun! It’s DEFINITELY something I will be adding to the mix!
