Today I’m linking up with MCM Mama for Tuesdays on the Run, and this week the topic is best apps for runners. Except I’m going to take it in a bit of a different direction. The app I want to tell you about doesn’t count calories, or keep track of your splits, or promise you a tight ass in 30 days. Wooftrax is an app that tracks your run or walk, and every time you run Wooftrax donates money to the animal shelter of your choice. It’s a really sweet setup. You’re gonna run anyway. You’re gonna have your phone with you anyway. So download this free app and earn money for the fur monsters! All you have to do is open the app, click the “Start Walking For…” button, and Wooftrax does the rest.
And although this isn’t affiliated with the Wooftrax app, I’m gonna throw it out there again anyway! If you’re so inclined to sponsor ME for every mile I run, please check out my Facebook page, The Goofy Runner, as I run to earn money for my favorite local rescue! I had 12 sponsors in January, I have 17 for February, and I’m now taking sponsors for March. Don’t put off sponsoring because you think it’s gonna cost you an arm and a leg–based on my January mileage, each sponsor was only committed to $17.74, but when you multiply that by 12 sponsors, that makes a big difference in one month for a small grass-roots rescue! Please join up! 🙂
